I like to see myself as a creativity and innovation professional who is passionate about improving organisational profitability and competitiveness.

My focus is in facilitating innovative and lasting improvements in supply chains & logistics industries, manufacturing companies and other businesses. I believe that creativity plays a central role in enabling businesses to streamline their processes, identify latent business opportunities, develop innovative business ideas, solve business problems innovatively and remain competitive.

My knowledge and skills are continuously refined through experience, research, teaching and collobaration with other like minded individuals and organisations. Over the years I have worked with a range of manufacturing organisations delivering operational improvements through the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme. I also have practical hands-on experience in implementing improvements in industry.

This practical hands-on experience and my passion for delivering tangible improvements underpin my research, lecturing and trainings. Currently, I provide lectures on 'Improving Business Performance' and 'introduction to operations management' at Derby Business School (DBS). DBS strongly encourages research informed teaching, and my research into various process improvement techniques such as Lean and Agile manufacturing, Process Reengineering, TRIZ etc. not only informs my teaching but also supports my work with companies.

I hold a PhD from Exeter University in the area of manufacturing systems engineering with emphasis on process modelling, simulation and optimisation. My first degree was in Mechanical/Production Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria (a University named after the first president of Nigeria).

So as you can see, my whole education and work revolve around business improvement which gives me the confidence of delivering significant client value
